Benjamin Clementine was decorated with the coveted Mercury Price to recognize the quality of his March-released album, At Least For Now, which faced stiff competition from the likes of In Colour by Jamie xx and Syro by Aphex Twin. He’s the second consecutive surprise winner after Young Father’s coup at last year’s ceremony.

Clementine is the 24th recipient of the Mercury Prize, which acknowledges musical excellence in the UK and Ireland. Watch the singer’s video for “London” below, and return to some of his past work that appeared on Pigeons & Planes in 2014 and 2013.
