St. Louis rapper pinkcaravan! and her producer Namesake. are just getting started, but they already have a signature sound that's recognizable after just a few bars of vibrant synths and softly spoken rapping. "Pop, lock & lemon drops is a happy-go-lucky song reminiscent of my childhood in St. Louis," pinkcaravan! explains, and even with the light-hearted subject matter, this one bumps.
"I want Namesake. and I to be like Missy Elliott and Timbaland," pinkcaravan! told us back in October. "I definitely want to reach and touch as many souls as possible in the next few years through music." So far, they're killing it, and there's a lot of potential evident in these two young artists.
