South L.A.-based singer and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Cuco has built up a loyal legion of fans by releasing dreamy, heartfelt DIY pop songs sung both in Spanish and English. With an album on the way and performances at a bunch of major music festivals this summer, he's poised to be one of this year's breakout stars. The 19-year-old's charming mix of sincerity and dry internet humor (his Twitter handle is @Icryduringsex) makes him a relatable figure, and his wide-ranging influences reflect the way music and culture is consumed in 2018.

"CR-V" is the second single from Cuco's upcoming EP Chiquito, and it goes in a different direction from the smooth synths and loose guitar solo of previous track "Sunnyside." Instead, we get an incredibly fun beat and some part-rapped verses about (you guessed it), Cuco's car, a Honda CR-V. "It was the first car I bought on my own," he tells us, fully aware of what he calls "the comedic factor about making a trap song about a CR-V."

The five track EP Chiquito is out May 4 and you can listen to "CR-V" below. Cuco and his friends are collaborating with Red Bull Music for a pop-up shop on 4/12 at the Glass House in Pomona where the first 200 fans that show up will receive a free limited edition ringer tee and coaches jacket.
