Toro y Moi has been quietly dropping tracks on his SoundCloud for the past few months with a mysterious #samantha tag. Today we finally understand what the tag has been about. Toro y Moi just surprised fans with a Dropbox link leading to this new mixtape (album? collection?) titled Samantha. There’s no accompanying words, but there is another link that features pictures—presumably taken during the time Samantha was being made.
The 20-track album features appearances from Washed Out, Nosaj Thing, Safe, Kool A.D., and Rome Fortune. Fortune also shared “Benjiminz,” another collaboration of the two on his own SoundCloud that features a famous sample from Puff Daddy and Biggie’s “It’s All About The Benjamins.”
