As soon as “Veritas” by Oceaán opens up, the beat gradually begins to build into something you can already anticipate loving before you’re even half way into the full track. In just the first thirty seconds, the layering of instruments is so vast that your attention feels as if it’s being pulled back and forth each time your ears recognize a new sound. And then one simple clap appears to end the chaos for a moment to allow Oceaán’s velvety voice to make the proper entrance it deserves. The balance of the synth-heavy production, instrumentation and Oceaán’s soulful voice make for a track you can dance to.
