Michael Kiwanuka Announces New Album, Shares Title Track "Love & Hate"

After four years, Michael Kiwanuka finally returns with a brand new album.

Back in 2012, Michael Kiwanuka impressed us with his debut album Home Again. His deep, soulful voice layered over the beautiful live instrumentation and paired with lyrics injected with completely raw emotion helped to create a brilliant introduction. Four years later, he’s finally prepared to release the follow up, Love & Hate on May 27.

Today, he shares a brand new video for the title track from his sophomore album.  The visuals for “Love & Hate” offer up no unnecessary gimmicks because the song truly speaks for itself. Kiwanuka and the rest of his band can be seen doing a live recording of the beautiful single—the video simply provides a glimpse at how the magic was created.

“I’ve always wanted to make an album that felt and sounded like this one. Working with guys as good as Danger Mouse and Inflo really helped me find what I was looking for. I hope this is just the start of more music to come,” Kiwanuka says of the album in a press release.
