Chicago’s Save Money crew/label have been introducing the world to their members one by one at a very strategic pace—giving each individual their own time to shine. Over the years we’ve gotten familiar and grown to love Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa. Last year, Towkio released his own solo project, .Wav Theory and was followed up by Joey Purp’s iiiDrops tape last month.
Now we’re introduced to yet another Save Money member by the name of Brian Fresco. As he prepares to release his Casanova mixtape on July 5, he delivers a brand new single titled “Higher.” For this new single, Fresco recruits Blue Hawaii and fellow Save Money crew member, Chance. Fresco raps over a dancehall/soca-inspired rhythm while Blue Hawaii controls the chorus, leaving Chance to tie the song together with a verse to close out the track.
