At the beginning of the year, we mentioned Jimmy Napes as a new pop artist to be on the look out for in 2015. The video for his latest single “Give It Up”—on top of other previous achievements like working with Disclosure, Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige—proves why.
The opening line implies that “Give It Up” is about an addiction, but the visuals make the message much clearer. Throughout the video, Jimmy Napes seems to be having flashbacks of his former party days. After many nights of liquor, drugs, gambling and random hook-ups, Napes finally tries to put an end to it all.
