Daye Jack closed out 2015 with the politically charged single “Hands Up”—a collaboration with Killer Mike. Since its release in December, Daye Jack allowed the lyrics to speak for themselves. But today he returns with a video to pair with the song.
The video for “Hands Up” features a string of footage taken from the media. Viral videos of police brutality, clips of news broadcasts, and snippets of protestors can all be seen flashing on the screen while Daye Jack delivers his verse—creating a montage of the harsh realities that many people continue to face.
