Though his name is still a fairly new to some, Conner Youngblood has already had quite the long journey during his career. He’s been releasing songs on his once for over five years now, and three years ago he detailed his past struggles with music labels to us. “Labels have been reaching out, both major and indie,” Conner explained. “But don’t be fooled, this is all usually a bunch of talk, awkward meetings, and free lunches.”

Now it appears that his battle to find the perfect record label for him has finally come to an end, and opened a new chapter. Conner shares the announcement that he’s signed to Counter Records—a Ninja Tune Imprint—along with the re-release of one of the first song we ever heard from him, “A Summer Song.”

“A Summer Song” is taken from the deluxe edition of his EP, The Generation of Lift—which is due out this Friday on April 29.
