Though Aesop Rock is no freshman to the music industry, his performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night was his first live performance on network television. For this milestone in his career, Aesop Rock brought “Dorks,” one of the new singles from his latest album The Impossible Kid, to life for the late night audience.
However, he didn’t do it all by himself like the song lyrics suggest. For this performance, Aesop was joined on stage by Yo La Tengo. The band completed the full stage alongside a DJ as well as Aesop’s hype-man.
