Cuco and Clairo Unite on "Drown"

Two of our favorite new artists connect: "I feel like this collaboration was supposed to happen."

Cuco and Clairo are two of our favorite new artists to emerge from an exciting new wave of young DIY-minded musicians, and now they've brought their mellow sounds together on a collaborative song called "Drown."

"I feel like this collaboration was supposed to happen," Clairo told Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Tuesday morning. "We’ve always wanted to work together and it’s really cool that we finally got to sit down in the studio. We both came to the studio with zero ideas but I think it was really cool, the way it ended up coming together. It was really natural and it ended up being better than anything I could have expected."

"Drown" was made as a part of adidas' #songsfromscratch project, and Yourstru.ly was there to document the creative process for a charming short film. You can watch that above and hear the finished product on iTunes/Apple Music or via Spotify below.
