When we spoke to Sangolast year, he mentioned that in the midst of working on multiple other projects with various artists, he was taking his time to carefully craft his upcoming album. Thankfully the wait is finally coming to an end soon as Sango returns today to deliver a preview of his forthcoming album, In The Comfort Of—which is set to feature appearances from Smino, Xavier Omär, JMSN, and more—with the release a short film titled South End.

In the new Jon Sal-directed short film—soundtracked by the album's fifth track "One More Thing"—we follow the lead character as he deals with an ongoing internal battle of following whatever the rest of his friends are up to, and doing what he knows is right. Each step of the way, as he inches closer to a destructive path, an image of what appears to be his guardian angel continues to pop up as a personal reminder to turn around and follow a better path.

"This short film is about the youth of South End, Seattle and how we must protect them from harm," explains Sango. "They have a future ahead of them, and It's important we highlight that. We have to make sure we uplift them even when they don't want to accept the reality of growing up. South End forever."
