Billie Eilish and Vince Staples Collaborate on “&Burn”

"Vince Staples was my number one choice," the 15-year-old singer says.

Billie Eilish is one of the best new artists of 2017, and today she keeps her momentum rolling on a huge collaboration with Vince Staples. The song, titled "&Burn," serves as a companion track to "Watch" on the teenage pop singer's don't smile at me EP.

Speaking with The FADER, Eilish explained how the collaboration came together, saying, "When we were working on the song in the studio, we originally wanted to call the song 'Watch & Burn' (like 'Watch & Learn,' but you're burning). We ended up producing two separate and completely different versions."

"&Burn" features an icy verse from Vince Staples that nicely complements the song's brooding energy. Eilish says, "This version felt like it would be perfect with someone as a feature. Vince Staples was my number one choice, so when we got him to hear it and he agreed to do, it was incredible and the verse he did is so mf good! He is a god and I’m excited for it to finally come out!"
