Knox Fortune's Debut Album 'Paradise' Is Here

The talented Chicago artist steps out on his own.

Technically, Paradise is Knox Fortune's debut album. But the 24-year-old has been working behind the scenes on some of Chicago's biggest hip-hop projects from guys like Vic Mensa, Joey Purp, KAMI, and Chance The Rapper for years. He even has a Grammy for his work on Chance's Coloring Book.

Despite that background, it's difficult to call Knox a hip-hop artist, however. We've compared his solo work to Beck in the past, and Paradise proves that he's just as comfortable dabbling in psychedelic rock and pop as he is working with his hip-hop-oriented friends.

As you would hope from an album with a name like Paradise, this is an immediately enjoyable project full of bright melodies and energetic percussion lines. The calendar says summer is over, but this is a great way to send it off. Listen on Apple Music here or via Spotify below.
