The Portland rap scene is rising and two key players connect on this track from Myke Bogan's upcoming album 'Pool Party.'

We're used to hearing Portland/L.A. rapper Myke Bogan go in over crisp hip-hop beats with his gruff vocals and honest lyrics, but "Top Gun" is a little different. The production from Neill Von Tally is as calm and inviting as a swimming pool's blue water on a hot summer day, and The Last Artful, Dodgr opens the track singing softly.

Myke Bogan is a little more direct on  "Top Gun," and equally so telling us about the song, explaining, "As soon as I heard the beat I wanted to make a song people could fuck to. Neill made a banger and Dodgr's hook was exactly how I was feeling. It was perfect." Dodgr adds, "Although we collab frequently, I've never heard Myke like his before. He's on some LL type shit with this one."

Myke Bogan's new album Pool Party is out August 18 via EYRST. Pre-order here. Listen to previous single "Gravy" with Michael Christmas here and watch "Take The Nite Off" with Blossom here.
