Before heading out on tour in early September, Brockhampton stopped by Afropunk this weekend and played a bunch of new music from the two excellent projects they've dropped this summer.
With the whole boy band on stage together and the sight of Merlyn flying through the air into the crowd, the energy was reminiscent of early Odd Future festival appearances. Kevin Abstract had taken a moment to mention the influence a few days before the show, tweeting: "Shoutout to odd future they came before us and I went to every single fucking show those guys were my heroes thanks for paving the way."
