Since being released from jail, after facing several serious charges including aggravated assault, armed home invasion, and an allegation of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend at the time, XXXTENTACION has been busy. His first show got shut down after fans started chanting "Fuck Drake," but he connected with a massive audience at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, and now it looks like he's back to making music.
On Twitter last night, May 10, XXX shared a clip of himself in the studio nodding along to a new song. Many new fans are probably only familiar with his viral hit "Look At Me!" but the young Florida artist cites Nirvana as his main inspiration, and he's always displayed a versatility that stretches far beyond aggressive rap. This new one has an acoustic, rootsy bounce to it, a gripping melody, and no rapping whatsoever.
