Brooklyn rapper Jimi Tents first delivered his proper introduction in 2015 with the release of his debut EP, 5 O'Clock Shadow. In the time since then, Tents has been working on perfecting his craft and continuing to make his city proud. Last summer the East New York-native hit the stage at our No Ceilings show and impressed the crowd in his home of Brooklyn.

Two years later, Jimi Tents returns to showcase the growth of his ability and sound as he shares his new project I Can't Go Home this week. The 13-track project focuses on the theme of the title. Tents is determined to not return back to East New York with nothing to show for it.

On the opening track, "NY vs. LA," he tries to work past the doubts coming from his own mind and loved ones around him—instead using this as fuel to work on music in Los Angeles and come back to New York with his head a little higher. Last night, the young rapper celebrated the release of his new project in none other than Brooklyn. After putting together a new project he can be proud of, it appears Jimi Tents can finally return home with a peace of mind.
