Blaq Tuxedo is a duo hailing from Sacramento, California made up of brothers Dominique and Darius Logan. In the past, the songwriting pair have penned hits from Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown, and more—as well as some low-key bangers for themselves. This week they return with another new single, this time taken from their upcoming project.
On April 7, Blaq Tuxedo will team up with DJ Carisma for the release of their Tap In mixtape. For their new single “About It,” the duo offers up a bouncy track over a hard-hitting rhythm that feels immediately addictive as soon as the beat drops. Dominique explains he and his brother have always been singers but that hip-hop has always played a major role in what they grew up around. This balance feels apparent after one listen of “About It.”
“There's ultimately two sides to us,” Darius explains. “A lot of people know the melodic side of us more than the hip-hop, but we can do both. And we want to introduce it properly. We've always been a dope hybrid, so the inspiration behind ‘About It’ was based off proving that we belong here.”
