Demo Taped may be young, but he's an old hand when it comes to bedroom studios. The Atlanta-based producer began his career crafting bouncy, earnest demos that followed in the footsteps of electronic wizards like Jai Paul.
His earnest approach resulted in 2015's irresistible Heart EP, and the artist born Adam Alexander was recruited by and signed to 300 Entertainment soon after. A gig touring with Wet followed, and now Demo Taped's turn in the spotlight is fast approaching.
But things weren't always so sunny—a long struggle with depression framed Demo Taped's earlier output, despite the optimistic nature of his music. In our latest Who Is? video, we met up with Demo Taped in New York and his hometown Atlanta to track his rise thus far and see what's next.
