Top Dawg Entertainment's ambitious strategy of releasing new projects from all of its big-name artists in 2016 has reached one of its most interesting pegs: Ab-Soul.

Developing his own voice and dedicated fan base under TDE's umbrella, Ab-Soul always seems to drift at the edges of the picture, occasionally jumping in with show-stealing performances (like his excellent verse on Black Hippy's "THat Part" remix) that remind us of his unique set of talents. And now, finally, after a couple delays, we get to sink our teeth into a full Ab-Soul album—his first since 2014's These Days...

The first two singles, "Threatening Nature" and "D.R.U.G.S." set the stage for a dark, psychedelic project, and the rest of the 16-song album expands on that. Guest appearances include fellow TDE members ScHoolboy Q and SZA as well as Mac Miller, Rapsody, Bas, Punch, and more.
