"We’re not fabricated, we didn’t come together as some little act," LD from 67 told us. "We’re real people from a real lifestyle and we’re living. This is real music. Our music tells a story, so follow the journey."

The London rap crew's new track "Jackets," and its accompanying video, is another chapter in that story. After the success of the Let's Lurk mixtape, 67 announced a tour that quickly sold out, but not long after they had to postpone the shows. "Obviously man can't do shows. Feds wanna lock off man's shows so man is trapped in the hood," goes the intro to the "Jackets" video, but even if they can't perform they can record.

"Jackets" is produced by Jevon and Nyge and appears on the upcoming New Gen album, a compilation that highlights the best and most exciting artists from the UK underground. Caroline SM, who put the album together, explains a little more about the 67 track, which also features U.K. rapper Nines.

"Nines being on the track is quite a big deal as he is a legend in the U.K. Nines heard the record when Jevon was doing some post production in the New Gen studio and thought it was hard. He wanted to put his stamp on it and as the record was finished he decided to add an intro and outro! We surprised 67 because they didn't know  about it until we put the album into production. As big fans of Nines it was a incredible co-sign for them."
