The xx are back. After teasing fans with mysterious snippetsof music and announcing their first shows together in three years, details of their new album began to emerge. Today, the British trio officially announced the title of their new album, I See You, and shared the first single, "On Hold."

It's been three years since The xx's last album, Coexist, and they've been busy—Jamie xx released his solo debut In Colour and they toured all over the world. It's in with the new now, though, and Romy Madley Croft went on Julie Adenuga's Beats 1 show to talk about the new album.

She explains how working on Jamie's solo album opened them up to new ideas, and suggests that I See You is a more upbeat record that people might even be able to dance too. Romy also talks about the excitement of finally releasing new music and why The xx now feel comfortable sharing more of their lives on social media.

Listen to the interview below and listen to "On Hold" here. Look out for The xx performing on Saturday Night Live on November 17. I See You is out January 13.
