TĀLĀ's songs are always packed with ideas and surprises, a mix of influences that stretch from underground British dance music to the Arabic music her Iranian father would play as she was growing up. An undeniable pop sensibility is also a key part of the mix, and TĀLĀ's ability to make experimentally minded, totally modern pop music puts her in a rare class.
Today, she returns with a new song and the announcement of an upcoming EP. "Talk 2 Me" was recorded while staying alone at a cabin in the woods and it comes from the Zāl EP, out December 9. “The EP came from a place of frustration with myself and situations around me," TĀLĀ explains. " The only motivation was the music. I wanted to push myself and make something I feel proud of."
