We knew Sevdaliza was special from the moment we heard her first official release, "Clear Air," back in 2014. The Iranian-born Dutch artist has gone on to drop two excellent EPs and we've been delighted to have her perform at our No Ceilings shows in London and Austin, TX, but what's been truly unforgettable is her videos.
"That Other Girl" was one of the best music videos of last year, "Marilyn Monroe" was crazy, and now we have another stunner, "Human." Where previous videos made heavy use of animation, this one relies on the cast's acting, Sevdaliza's dancing, and a surprise twist to keep us hooked. It also helps that the song is yet again excellent—futuristic pop music driven by minimal production and powerful lyrics.
The "Human" video was directed by Emmanuel Adjei and is released as Sevdaliza announces her debut album will be out next year. "Human" also serves as the first single from the album. 2017 is about to be a big one for Sevdaliza.
