After honing his craft on New York City subways, in freestyle competitions (that he won), and onstage opening for stars like D.R.A.M., Jadon is finally ready to release some studio material. The NYC-based rapper was the subject of our Street Dreams documentary last year, and his incredible work ethic has paid off in the form of endorsements and connections all across the city.

But "Goodbye" is really the first studio cut we've heard. "'Goodbye' makes me feel great because I'm finally giving my fans music after having to wait for over a year," Jadon said. "I heard the Zoo Nice beat for 'Goodbye' and immediately wrote to it, then performed it the following night to see how it would sound live. The crowd turned up crazy and I knew I had something."  The soothing, syrupy soul sample provides the perfect foundation for Jadon's ruminations on hard work and rememberance.

Stream "Goodbye" below, and catch Jadon performing with Saba at Rough Trade tonight in NYC.
