While the blogosphere is already jokingly referring to Goldenvoice's inaugural classic rock festival Desert Trip as"Oldchella," Paul McCartney kept things fresh last night when he brought out Rihanna to duet on their single with Kanye West, "FourFive Seconds." The two have been performing the track individually on their respective tours, this marks the first time Rihanna has joined McCartney live  since they performed it with West at the 2015 Grammy Awards.

McCartney also previously collaborated with West on the single, "Only One."

In a longform piece on Desert Trip, Pitchfork noted that attendees generally fell into two age demographics—kids in their 20s with a love of the classics, and patrons over 50. McCartney and Rihanna's duet, then, represented the juxtaposing vibes in the crowd quite well.
