Mick Jenkins recently released his debut studio album The Healing Component last month. While on tour, Jenkins has also been making his rounds to various outlets to promote his latest album. During a recent stop by Sway in the Morning, Jenkins gave listeners a proper introduction to who he is as a person and an artist. Jenkins opened up about the long path it took for him to get to where he is now, and how although he has multiple projects under his belt this is certainly a new chapter.
While discussing his career and how far he's come, Jenkins dissected a few lyrics from "Spread Love" and explained the deeper meaning behind it all. Before leaving, he gave listeners another preview of his clever wordplay with a quick freestyle. It's not often that freestyles leave Sway speechless, but Jenkins did exactly that.
