Earlier this year, we saw Dutchboy perform live at Rough Trade in Brooklyn with Night Lovell and Lil West. Today, he returns with "Like This" to mark the end of summer. While the production may sound fun and bouncy, the story being told is actually dark and gloomy. The New Jersey artist shares a tale of betrayal and shock as he could not believe someone he trusted and loved left him in the cold.
The record was produced by Joey Castellano and was made in Los Angeles as Dutchboy explains: "I was staying in LA with Oshi and Nova, and when I got the beat I locked myself in the bedroom until I finished the song. It was one of those things where you hear the beat and the song just comes to you, it happened fast with this one."
