Last night BET aired their annual Hip Hop Awards. In the midst of performances and handing out awards to artists, the show returned with their signature series of cyphers. BET shared multiple cyphers with artists representing their cities. Last night's cyphers had rappers representing New York, Philly, Boston, New Orleans, and more.
The segment of cyphers featured artists like Dave East, Young M.A, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Consequence, Jidenna, New Edition’s Mike Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe, and more. While most of the cyphers included a group of artists taking turns to spit their own verse, Lil Wayne got special treatment for his. Weezy took his turn in a one-on-one battle against a very unexpected component—Chocolate Droppa aka Kevin Hart.
