Young Thug has previously worked with two of his siblings, Dorothea and Alexis Grier in particular, featuring them on his I'm Up project earlier this year as Dora & Dolly. Now they're taking things a step further and releasing their debut mixtape not too long after the release of Thug's own Jeffery. From the sounds of Family Ties, it would appear that Dora & Dolly are committed to proving that talent runs in the family.

Opening with the Young Thug-assisted "Serving The Plug," the mixtape offers a lot of promise from the two rappers. After making their rap debut earlier this year, Complex spoke with the sisters and how they got on Thug's record to begin with. “Dora and I were in the studio with Jeff and a couple of his friends while we’re debating on who’s going to the NBA Finals, and he was playing the beat,” Dolly told Complex.

She continued, “The beat played like, 100 times. We were like, 'If you play the beat one more time…' We actually did the song in his house studio before, but it can’t be released because it was a feature [for another artist working with Jeff], and we were just playing on it. We decided to get up from the studio room and go into the recording room, and we were just drinking.”
