After catching a lot of attention with his viral track "Chill Bill," San Diego rapper Rob $tone is finally delivering his first full-length project of 2016. With the release of the packed "Chill Bill" remix, $tone has followed up the remix with the I'm Almost Ready mixtape. Premiered via Complex, the 16-track project keeps things pretty minimal for the most part, with very few features outside of Denzel Curry and Mitchy Slick.
Capitalizing on the success of "Chill Bill," the mixtape replicates the kind of minimal, somewhat goofy beats that $tone works so well over. "Ice Cream Man 2" straight up sees $tone rapping over a ice cream truck sample, and it's just as wonderful as that description makes it sound. The recently released "Chill Bill" remix makes an appearance as a bonus track, alongside another bonus track, "Check."
