Monte Booker's production has a very specific feel to it. It's full of movement and attention to detail, but often so spacious that rapping over it requires a dynamic approach. Chicago rapper Jay2AintShit nails it on "Better Serve." His flow is relaxed and confident, with melody sprinkled throughout for a laid-back, subtly soulful result.
"I was honestly just experimenting with my voice on this joint," Jay2AintShit explains. "Monte provided the bounce. 'Better Serve' is me explaining that I'm just better in everything."
