Justin Vernon will be returning to his Bon Iver project this Friday, and with it comes a new album. After announcing that Bon Iver's hiatus would be ending earlier this year for a performance at Vernon's own Eaux Claires music festival, it became clear that something was brewing. Now, after a number of teases, it's starting to become clear as day that not only will Vernon be premiering new Bon Iver material during the festival, but a new Bon Iver album could be arriving before the weekend.
There aren't many details on the forthcoming album, which will be Bon Iver's first full-length record in five years, but there are a few hints thanks to some street murals that have begun popping up. With murals appearing in Eau Claire and Brooklyn, it's clear that we won't have to wait for new material from Bon Iver. The phrase "22 Days" frequently appears in the art, as well as some mysterious symbols.
There's a lot of art popping up on the Bon Iver social accounts, too, namely Instagram and Facebook. The artwork there might be even more mysterious, but considering these accounts usually stay silent, our guess would be that the album will be arriving this Friday after it's debuted live.
