Vic Mensa and Joey Purp stopped by Sway In The Morning for a lengthy interview session, and they capped it off with a back and forth freestyle that might just be one of the most memorable Sway freestyles in recent memory. Trading back and forth, the pair both go in, taking it in turns to energetically rap over the skittering beat. Vic pulls through with some impressive lines, but it’s gotta be said that Purp is the one walking away with the most impressive rapping here.
During the interview portion of the segment, they also spoke at length about a number of topics. As per usual, Sway asked Vic and Joey to list their top 5 rappers. Also there was a fan of Vic Mensa’s called Mitchell, who Vic previously mentioned was a big fan of Sway. Vic was kicked off a flight earlier this year for talking to Mitchell when he was depressed, and ever since hearing that story Sway insisted he brings Mitchell along the next time he comes on the show.
