Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Two summers ago, in August of 2014, a group of wise individuals—Susie Seiter, Chad Seiter, and Jeron Moore—reached the same conclusion: create something additive for society by translating Pokémon’s 8-bit video game scores into live orchestral pieces. The rest is history.
In the years since, Seiter and co. have traveled the world, holding musical events at venues scattered across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company has announced its 2016 return amidst the ongoing Pokemon Go craze. Symphonic Evolutions will do its part to not neglect any fan-adored material, playing music from all iterations of the Nintendo classic alongside “large-screen video projections to bring to life newly expanded musical themes and visual material directly inspired by the game.”
The live series will trot across the globe for the remainder of the year. You can purchase tickets right here. Any attendees should charge their devices beforehand. We’d bet our left wing a handful of rare creatures will make an appearance at the concert venues—don’t miss out on an opportunity to catch ’em all.
