Diplo has a certainly set a precedent when it comes to being a certified hitmaker, producing countless chart-topping singles and viral tracks for numerous artists as well as part of producing outfit Major Lazer. Perhaps two of his most successful collaborations have come in the form of “Where Are Ü Now” with Skrillex and Justin Bieber, as well as “Lean On” with DJ Snake and MØ. It only makes sense, then, that he would think to get both vocalists together for another track with “Cold Water.”
The latest from Major Lazer, MØ, and Justin Bieber seems poised for massive success. With its perfectly suited to summer vibes and anthemic chorus tailored to parties at the beach, it seems highly likely that this will be getting a huge reaction at festivals. It makes sense they named this after summer’s biggest essential, too. Bieber definitely knows how to meld to Major Lazer’s sound remarkably well, and if this is any indication of what Major Lazer are doing with their forthcoming album, then it could easily be their biggest album yet.
