Last year, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon expressed his disappointed with what Apple had become in a series of tweets.  Voicing his clear frustration with the company, he said: “You were a great company. Fearless. Innovative. Now iTunes literally is just bad design.” Several months later, it appears Apple has yet to win Vernon over.

He recently took to his Twitter account once again to express his on-going frustration with the company. He reiterated that the company had gone from once being innovative to “literally a horrid platform.” He continued, “They let the commercialization of Apple Music get in the way of making a product easy, simple, and beautiful to use.”

It’s possible that this new series of tweets may come as a result of Vernon’s built up frustration with the company, but it seems more likely that this may be a reaction to the recent Apple news. Yesterday, it was reported that Apple was reportedly in talks to acquire competing music service, Tidal.

While Apple continues to go through a serious transitional period, maybe they could benefit from listening to the complaints of frustrated consumers to help rebuild their product and platform efficiently.
