Watch Talented Rapper and Director Darnell Williams' "Round Here" Video

We got familiar with Darnell Williams in April through “South Central,” which came with an incredible self-directed video. The rapper and talented videographer has been through some ups and downs, working on videos for major artists alongside the Illroots crew after studying film at Columbia College, before parting ways with them and ending up living on the floor of his friends apartment.

Now, though, the focus is squarely on his art, as he follows “South Central” with “Round Here.” The song, Darnell explains, is “a glimpse into the mind of inner city children raised by single mothers and the streets they walk. A look into the mind of a lost boy unable to accept the cold world he was born into. A celebration for those who made it over 21.”

Again, Darnell comes with some post-production magic to make the visual pop, so don’t look away.
