It’s been rumored for a long time now, but it looks like a Notorious B.I.G. hologram is actually happening. Billboard reports that technology company ARHT Media have acquired the rights to B.I.G.’s hologram. Formed as part of a partnership between the Los Angeles company and the company who handles B.I.G.’s estate, ByStorm Entertainment, the hologram will appear in a music video alongside Faith Evans, who was married to B.I.G., to coincide with the release of her forthcoming album, The King & I.

ARHT Media CEO Paul Duffy says that the technology powering the hologram allows for “the creation of a digital human, being it living, deceased in this case or even fictional.” He elaborated further, “We have a very sophisticated transmission technology for beaming these digital humans through the public Internet to literally any point on the planet. These digital humans can scale to any size of venue so it can be in a window display, your living room or it could be in a 50,000-seat arena for a real-time delivery and display of this human hologram, that we call ‘Humagrams.'”

ARHT’s founder Rene Bharti added that it’s easy to just put the technology “in the back of a uHaul truck, and set up and break down within an hour.” This gives the technology a distinct advantage over previous hologram technology from the likes of Hologram USA, who put together the infamous Tupac hologram performance at 2012’s Coachella festival. The company also explained that a tour is officially in the works, but that’ll come later down the line.
