Grimes took some time away from her busy tour to talk to Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 show, chatting out her creative process from album to album among other things. She also managed to squeeze in the performance of three tracks, including “Flesh Without Blood” and “REALiTi.” During the interview she performed a cover of Austrian composer Franz Schubert’s “Ave Maria,” giving her unique spin on the 1825 composition. It’s definitely a left-field cover of sorts, but Grimes has been known to perform it live in the past, and she certainly does an impressive job here, too.
