BOF Titled Final

Last week, Westside Gunn impressed us with “Dudley Boys,” produced by The Alchemist and featuring Action Bronson, and today we’re happy to premiere a new track from his upcoming FLYGOD album. Where the last track was full of sweeping strings, “Bodies on Fairfax” rides a spare, ominous beat from Daringer, which is the perfect backdrop for Danny Brown and Westside Gunn to go all the way in.

Danny’s verse is on point as always, but you might need to run Westside Gunn’s back a few time to catch all the references. “This song is different from every song on the album,” he explains. “You know Danny is a hip-hop rockstar, and I made a verse playing with names of the stores on the Fairfax strip in L.A.”

Westside also let us know how the track came together: “One day I get a call like, ‘Did you just see what Danny tweeted?’ I had no clue what they were talking about but when I went to look it was Danny tweeting that I was his favorite rapper. That shit was extremely dope to me and my respect level went even higher for the homie.”

“After that me and Danny kept in touch and once I started working on FLYGOD I knew I needed him. Daringer made this unorthodox beat and I’m just like WTF is this! I hit Danny up and the rest is history. Me and Danny are from the two poorest cities in the country so this is for Detroit and Buffalo”

FLYGOD features Action Bronson, Your Old Droog, Roc Marciano, Skyzoo, and Meyhem Lauren, with production from Alchemist, Statik Selektah, Daringer, and more. Preorder here and listen to “Bodies on Fairfax” below.
