SBTRKT’s last album Wonder Where We Land was packed with exciting collaborators across genres, from Sampha to Ezra Koenig to A$AP Ferg, and now he’s back at it again. “Good Morning,” his first major release since 2014, features R&B artist The-Dream, singing over layers of vivid synths. It’s a vibrant, uplifting song, and hopefully the precursor to an upcoming album from the British production maestro.
As the song was premiered on Beats 1, SBTRKT told Zane Lowe that this is the first of “a collection of tracks” to emerge from sessions with The-Dream, adding, “I had this idea of where it could go, and it came together really quickly. I’ve worked with lots of new collaborators along my journey, but to find someone who fits into my world was a real revelation.”
