Is TIDAL making moves again?

Following the mysterious vanishing of Reasonable Doubt from Spotify last April, Jay Z’s Blueprint albums are now also missing from Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. And, apparently, people have been taking notice over the past few months:

According to a statement made by a Spotify spokesperson in response to Pitchfork, his Blueprint albums “have not been available on any streaming service except Tidal for a few months now.” The spokesperson adds that Spotify hopes Jay Z will “[bring] them back soon so that his millions of fans on Spotify can enjoy them again.”

With the exception of the albums listed above, it looks like the rest of Jay Z’s discography (Magna Carta Holy Grail, Watch the Throne, The Black Album, etc.) is still available on non-TIDAL streaming services. For the time being, at least.

This is a developing story. Updates will be made as soon as more information is available.
