Since the release of his debut EP You Will Never Find last year, rising rapper Max Wonders has been building up momentum for his debut album, Hues To Blame. Max, who started the 2088 movement with close friends a few years ago, released the first single “Grow Up” in February, and now he’s back with the second track from his upcoming album. “Utopia” is another example of Wonders’ ability to weave a serious message and witty one-liners into one cohesive, catchy song. The production, this time from Latrell James, is stellar once again.

“‘Utopia’ is a concept representing youth in it’s purest form,” Wonders explains. “I wanted to make this song so people would instantly think of this euphoric place, with no worries, where you’re just enjoying life constantly. That being said, I want people to think of their youth in that way. Youth is the one thing no one can attain. You can’t live that over again. So doesn’t that make it the most valuable asset? It is Utopia, youth, is Utopia. Also, it’s sunny out again and I wanted people to feel good while listening to it. No matter when/where, I want others to be taken to Utopia. Puts a smile on my face.”
