Last night we learned of the unfortunate passing of Phife Dawg, one of the founding members of the legendary A Tribe Called Quest. Tributes following his untimely death have come flooding in, and Mac Miller has dropped a specifically poignant one. Taking from one of Phife’s many freestyles, Mac Miller’s tribute as Larry Fisherman is surprisingly beautiful. The mournful instrumental on Miller’s “5 Foot Assassin” works with Phife’s flow wonderfully.
