While we’re still trying to understand what the hell SoundCloud Go will mean for creators and fans, Lido’s out here bypassing all normal ways of releasing material, creating a website that could house his experimentations on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo.
Entitled The Life of Peder (Peder being Lido’s real first name), Lido has taken his syrupy smooth, infectiously bright production style to a number of Pablo tracks, including a funky take on “I Love Kanye” and an ambient flip of “Fade.” It’s a glorious almost nine-minute trek through some of the major keys within Pablo, and with the fact that it’s entitled The Life of Peder (Part One), one can only hope that Lido has more up his sleeve.
