On the 19th anniversary of the death of The Notorious B.I.G., plenty of rappers paid their respects to the legendary emcee—but Joey Badda$$ took things a step further with the release of a new song “Brooklyn’s Own” to remember his idol.
Wisely taking a break from his ongoing beef with Troy Ave, Joey tweeted “RIP 2 B.I.G.! I’ll be paying homage by dropping a song today,” before releasing the track. Listen below as he reps the NYC borough that both he and Biggie called home over smooth production from Statik Selektah.
