L.A. rapper Cozz released his Nothin’ Personal project back in January, and he’s been building on its success ever since. Last week he found time to swing through during SXSW and kick a flow over Mike Jones’ classic “Back Then” instrumental.
The Dreamville signee didn’t disappoint, firing off some bars for the small crowd that had gathered for the occasion—and a couple of neighbors listening across the fence. There’s a reason why Cozz is part of rap’s rising class, and his smooth, effortless flow on this freestyle is just the beginning.
